Outside Health Starts Inside

Our Mission

To restore opportunity for youth facing the greatest barriers by providing trauma-informed outreach, therapeutic support, and relational stability through home- and community-based services that foster healing, resilience, and long-term transformation.

A future where every high-needs youth—regardless of their past—has the support, connection, and opportunity to grow strong roots and rise into a thriving, fulfilled life.

Why ROOTS?

ROOTS fills a critical gap between school-based prevention and clinical therapy by providing high-touch, relationally grounded intervention for youth who might otherwise fall through the cracks. We help youth stabilize today so they can succeed tomorrow—in school, in relationships, and in life.

The ROOTS Model

01

2–3 therapeutic support visits per week in schools or on-site, focused on regulation, trust-building, and behavioral skill development

02

Home visits to engage caregivers and strengthen family stability

03

De-escalation support and crisis response, with follow-up coaching to improve recovery time and self-awareness

04

Collaborative case coordination with schools and service providers to ensure seamless wraparound care

05

Trauma-informed mentoring and emotional coaching rooted in the TBRI® (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) framework

ROOTS staff are not clinical therapists but are trained in trauma-informed intervention, emotional
regulation, restorative practices, and culturally responsive care.
